It’s hard to believe we have been providing Olsen with e-marketing services for over 6 years now. They have watched us grow to become one of the leading e-marketing providers around today.

The services we have provided Olsen with over the years have varied but every strategy we have put in place has always had consistent goals:

Design & Build

The Olsen solution has always been very template driven. This creates brand consistency across all e-communication but perhaps more importantly it meant that the recipients, female with an average age of over 45, would always be able to look in the same place on each email for special offers, collection launches and product imagery. Consistency in design is often overlooked but can play an important part in an e-marketing strategy especially when communicating with a slightly older audience.

The flexibility of e-style though means that just one single template can be used for all Olsen email campaigns. These include providing customers with automated stockist information linked to a request form on their website, launching latest collections and driving direct customer sales of exclusive pieces.

Stockist Response

This was one of the first solutions we placed into Olsen and is still live today. Visitors to the Olsen website can request their nearest stockist information by completing a short form. They are asked to specify their county that they would like stockist details for. Once that information is submitted a number of e-style triggers kick in. Firstly the customer’s data is stored in the Olsen private online address book. Secondly a beautifully designed and branded email is instantly sent to this new contact thanking them for the query and detailing the stockists but only for the county specified. Finally this campaign contains 5 short market research questions allowing Olsen to learn even more about this new contact. This increased intelligence allows Olsen to target people specifically based on such things as favourite magazine and average clothing spend per month.

Exclusive Sales

Olsen have never had an e-commerce side to their business. They wanted to begin to sell direct to their customer database without the often expensive costs that come with building an e-commerce site. That’s where we stepped in. We built Olsen a custom solution that enable email recipients to order a particular garment directly from an email. They were taken to a custom built transactional webpage hosted by e-style with notification emails sent to Olsen as each order came in. The orders were then fulfilled directly at the Olsen office.

Customers were able to specify all of the usual preferences such as colour, size and quantity etc. and with such an easy to use process Olsen were delighted with the results.

The Result

The results happily exceeded our expectations, site traffic was excellent and sales were strong. The most pleasing part to hear was that not only did sales of the contained items go up, but recipients clearly browsed right through the Olsen site as sales of alternative items were up and offline footfall increased.
